I received the BSc., MSc. degrees in EEE from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, and the PhD degree in EE from Polytechnic Institute of New York University, Brooklyn, NY. After completing my PhD, I spent a year with the Biomedical Imaging Group at EPFL, Switzerland, as a post-doctoral researcher. Following that, I joined Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Dept. of Electronics and Communications Engineering, as a faculty member. I served as a faculty member (assistant/associate professor) at ITU for seven years. Subsequently, I worked at Analog Devices Inc. (Boston, MA, USA) and Siemens (Princeton, NJ, USA) at senior/staff research scientist positions. I am currently a staff signal processing engineer at Whoop Inc., Boston, MA. My past and current research interests span time-frequency analysis, sparse signal processing, algorithms for reconstruction problems, estimation/tracking and machine learning (deep or classical) for signal processing problems, covering applications on audio, microphone arrays, radar, and biomedical signals.
